- How soon can I start working?
A:
Job availability changes on a daily basis. If you meet our hiring standards and our application process is complete, you will be considered based on your preferences and your skills, and will be offered appropriate positions. At times, you may even begin an assignment the day you apply, or possibly the following day.
- What if I am not interested in a certain position when it is offered; is it all right to turn it down?
A: You do have the right to decline a position if it does not meet your expectations. Our coordinators will continue to search for positions that match your skills and qualifications.
- What if I am on an assignment and decide it is not for me?
A: We understand that not every position is going to fit all individuals. If you are on an assignment and feel that it is not working for you, please contact us immediately. We will attempt to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
- How can I stay informed about open positions?
A: If a position becomes available that you are suitable for, ARG will contact you. However, if we have not contacted you and you are still actively looking for work, feel free to call one of our service coordinators to update your availability.

- How long is an assignment?
A: The duration of an assignment may range from hours to weeks or even months depending on the needs of the company.
- What is the difference between a temp and temp-to-hire position?
A: Temp-to-hire differs from a temporary assignment in that it gives employers the opportunity to hire the employee full time once the allotted number of days or hours has been met.

- What is the process for finding employees?
A: Our search begins immediately upon receiving your signed proposal. Once we are provided the details and requirements of the position and clearly understand your needs, we are able to select the best candidates.
- What if I am not satisfied with an employee placed by Advantage Resource Group?
A: We realize that not every job is a fit for every person and sometimes that is not clear until the person is working. If you are not satisfied with an employee, Advantage Resource Group will work quickly to replace them as soon as possible.
- What kind of jobs do you fill?
A: Advantage Resource Group handles positions ranging from manufacturing to service to professional. Contact us with your staffing needs.
- Can I get a temp the same day?
A: Yes, although the time it takes to successfully recruit an employee who fits your needs will vary. Advantage Resource Group will work diligently to fill your request within the guidelines and timeframes set by your company as quickly as possible.
- Do I have to sign a contract?
A: Advantage Resource Group requires a signed contract from the company before we begin recruitment for any position. This, however, does not obligate your company to accept an applicant referred to you by us. It does act as a legal safeguard that defines the agreement and outlines expectations.

Payroll
- Do you offer direct deposit?
A: Yes. Our payroll department offers direct deposit to any local bank.
- How long does it take to process the checks?
A: Processing time will depend on your company and how many employees you have, but we generally require at least a two day turnaround time due to direct deposit.
- How do I get started?
A: The first step would to be to contact our sales department to receive more information on our payroll processing procedures and action will then be taken from there.
- Where do I pick up my payroll?
A: There are three ways to receive your payroll. Our office will either send it using UPS or US mail, you may opt to pick it up directly from our Altoona office, or a courier may be used to bring it to your office.
- Will ARG help me with taxes?
A: We do offer assistance with taxes by filing on behalf of your company for federal, state and local payroll taxes.
- Does ARG provide EFTPS?
A: Yes, EFTPS, or electronic federal tax payment systems, are available with Advantage. These are federal tax deposits made over the phone.
- How do I get my W-2’s?
A: Our office will process your W-2’s for a fee and those documents may be picked up from our Altoona location, can be mailed to your business, or a courier service may also be used.

Drug Testing
- How quickly do I receive the results?
A: The timing of results is dependent on which test was administered. If an instant results test is used, we will inform you immediately of the findings. However, computerized testing results will be sent directly to the employer and we are not given the results.
- Do the results come straight to us or will you contact us?
A: For the most part, the results will be sent straight to your location unless an instant test was performed in which we will be able to read the results immediately, and then have them sent to your office.
- Are you willing to come to our location to perform the drug tests?
A: Yes. We do provide on site testing. Specific rates apply to on-site testing.
- Are there different prices depending on which test is administered? How do I go about getting a quote?
A: Pricing is dependent on the type of testing administered. These prices will be negotiated once you contact our office.
- What certification have you received?
A: All employees administering drug tests have completed Qualification Training for Federal Drug Screen Collection which meets 49 CFP Part 40 DOT requirements.
- How accurate and confidential is the testing?
A: We pride ourselves in the strict use of exact procedures or testing methods. As mentioned before, all associates are properly trained which further ensures the accuracy of the readings. Confidentiality is very important to our organization as well. Testing results are sent directly to your office unless an instant test is administer in which case the results will be given to the employee being tested.
- What kind of drug do you test for?
A: The drugs detected by our testing are dependent on the type of testing used.
5-Panel:
Amphetamines/methamphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, opiates(codeine and morphine), phencyclidine(PCP)
10-Panel:
Amphetamines, methamphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, opiates, PCP, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone, propoxyphene.
- What is an MRO?
A: An MRO is a medical review officer. The MRO is a doctor who analyzes the test results reported by a testing lab to ensure that the results are valid. They also try to determine whether there is a legitimate medical explanation should a “confirmed positive” result occur.
- What is a DER?
A: A DER is a designated employer representative which is the only associate that can receive the results for testing.

Resume
- What does it cost?
A: Our resumes are priced individually according factors such as degree of difficulty, and time constraints. Résumés can be as low as $99. This includes your professional résumé electronically forwarded to your email address. Hard copies on professional résumé paper are $1.00 each with a minimum order of 5. Upon completion of your résumé, you will be asked to sign or OK a final draft approval.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We currently accept MasterCard/Visa, personal check or cash. A fee of $30 is charged for all returned checks. Payment is required before the résumé can be processed.
- How long will it take?
A: The process will take 48 hours minimum. Our professional résumé writers will consult with you individually to determine when your résumé can be completed working with your time frame, type of résumé needed and our schedule.
- What if I need a cover letter?
A: A well written cover letter adds value to your professional résumé and can be added to your resume package for an additional $45.
- Do I need to come into the office?
A: Résumé consultations may be handled in office, by phone, or electronically by email.
- What information do I need?
A: One of our consultants will conduct a brief interview by phone or email to determine the type of service required. An application with required information such as job history, job description, education, and strengths will be forwarded to your email account.
- What credentials do you have?
A: We are members of the Professional Association of Résumé Writers (PARW). PARW keeps its members informed on the very latest techniques and trends in the art of professional résumé writing.
- What if I need to have changes made later?
A:Your résumé will be kept on file making changes and updates easier and less costly. Pricing for updates and changes begins at $40.00.
- What format will be used?
A: We use a variety of formats that include chronological, functional, and entry level. Our writers assess your background and skills to custom design your résumé to best reflect you.
- What if I need a specialized résumé like a Federal, Military, or Curriculum Vitae?
A: Federal, Military Résumés and C.V.s are available at an additional cost. Because these résumés are more detailed and require additional information, they can require additional time for completion. Federal, Military, and C.V.s start at $125.00.
